James Hubbell House

My lovely wife knows me best and being that we aren’t much for birthday presents she took it upon herself to plan a day with me to see the wonderful world of James Hubbell. Located about 90 mins from San Diego, nestled in the hills of Julian/Santa Isabella sits a crafted wonder. James, his wife and small family moved onto the property in the late 50’s and has spent the last 60 years making it a true masterpiece. The couple, now in there 90’s, just moved out and into assisted living but do go back weekly from what i’m told. Imperfects Store

I had the pleasure of working with Imperfects in San Diego and creating a few sculptural pieces for there showroom a bit ago. Mike Lynch, the owner/CEO/mastermind/fashion king/lead designer came to me needing a few fun elements and gave me creative freedom, something every artist loves to hear. Being that the entire store was already an eclectic vibe of surf/skate/clothing/odds and ends my stuff fit right in. I created a showroom table in claro walnut and charred , coffee table and few little sculptures. This is one of my favorite stores in town and was honored to be apart of the creative flow.
